Highland High School senior, Breann Wernle has recently signed a letter of intent to run cross country for the Kaskaskia College Blue Angels. She plans to study Dental Assisting.
Breann was a three-year letter winner in cross country as well as a two time state qualifier in cross country and a one-time qualifier in track and field. She was named to All-Misssissippi Valley Conference two times, All-Madison County three times, and All-Area (Belleville News Democrat) three times. Her 3-mile personal best was ran at Peoria in a time of 18:55 and her best 5K time was a 20:38 ran at SIUE.
KC Coach Mike Hargis feels Breann will be a good fit for KC. "We are so happy to sign Breann, she comes from a great program and she is an outstanding athlete, student, and person. She is going to be a great asset for our program."
