The University of Illinois featured 12 colleges from throughout the area. The host team UIS was the meet champions with a score of 25 points followed by Millikin with a score of 61 points. The Blue Devils placed 8th with a score of 218 points. The top finishers for the Devils of Blue were Oliver Lee, Brady Marshall, and Caidien Beer with times of 24:38, 24:41, and 25:43. Nice pack for the top 3 of 5 seconds! The fourth counter was Blake Heimann followed by Branson Pappas, and Andrew Latham with times of 25:40, 25:47, and 25:49. Nice 4-6 pack of 9 seconds! Will Tepe was next to cross in a time of 27:19 with Zerek Koch next in 27:43 and Noah Markus in a time of 29:19. The 1-5 average time for Blue Devils was 25:06 for the 7K distance and overall group time was 2:05.30. "The men showed great improvement from the first race and handled the longer distance better than I thoguht they would. We need to move the second pack of 3 closer to the top, the 1-5 pack time of 1 minute and 9 seconds needs to be dropped by closer to a 40 second gap." The Blue Devils were with out the sevices of Jack Walters due to illness. KC will travel to Peoria on September 19th for the Bradley Intercollegiate meet at Detweiller Park.
