Kaskaskia College Tennis Players Honored

Kaskaskia College tennis players sophomore Ben Urshan (Centralia) and freshman Daniel Pieplow (Xenia), Zach Plocher (Highland) and Tanner Massa (St. Jacob) were recently honored by being named to the Region 24 All- Tournament Team.

The team recently competed in the Region 24 tennis tournament as Massa was all region at #3 doubles and #5 singles; Pieplow was all region at #3 doubles; Plocher was all region at #1 doubles and #4 singles and Urshan was all region at #1 doubles.  The team fell to eventual champion Lewis and Clark 5-4 with the deciding won on a tie breaker.

KC Tennis Coach Joe Basch says all of these individuals are very worthy of their all region awards.  "The team finished with a 4-3 record and were a tie breaker win away from making the NJCAA DI national championships.  It was an honor to coach this team this spring and I know we have the ability to be even better next year."
