Fortville Indiana Senior Commits to Play Soccer and Softball for KC Blue Angels

Mt. Vernon senior, Morgan Scruggs has recently signed a letter of intent to continue her education and athletic career at Kaskaskia College.

Scruggs, who will play soccer and softball, plans to pursue a degree in Nursing.

On the soccer field, she was named Hancock County Player of the Year her sophomore year; named All-Conference her sophomore, junior and senior years and was 2nd Team All-District her sophomore year.

In softball she was named Mt. Vernon's Defensive Player of the Year her sophomore year.

According to KC coach Joe Basch, "Morgan will play forward for Kaskaskia.  She has all the traits of being a big time college forward.  She is explosive and can shoot and distribute the ball with ease. I feel Morgan will contribute right away and be one of our main scorers in the fall."

Torey Crowell, KC softball coach says, "Morgan will help the softball team with her speed, and glove in the outfield. She has played two sports and I think she will be able to help both teams".
